Welcome to the Original DJ Challenge

Welcome to the oldest DJ challenge event of 3DXCHAT - the original and most thrilling one. Mix random tracks from a 100-song package in 30-minute freestyle sets. No matter if you’re a beginner or a pro – we’ve got the music styles to match your skills. Ready to sweat it out? Dive into the chaos and challenge yourself!

Event Rules

  1. Song Package: You will receive a download link for a set of 100 MP3 files 2-3 days before your scheduled performance.
  2. File Ownership: These tracks are yours to keep after the event, but sharing them with others before or during the event is strictly prohibited.
  3. Performance Time: Each DJ has a 30-minute set, during which about 10 songs need to be mixed seamlessly.
  4. Mixing Equipment: A DJ controller is optional but can be helpful. If you're skilled enough to manage transitions using only DJ software, you're more than welcome to do so.
  5. Beatgrid Testing: The tracks provided have been tested to ensure the Beatgrid is properly set, ensuring smooth mixing.
  6. File Setup: Once you receive the tracks, import them into your DJ software and sort them by filename. Each file begins with a unique number (001, 002, ...100) for easy reference.
  7. Song Selection: Use the /roll100 command to get your next track during your set. A moderator will announce the selected track in the chat so the audience can follow along.
  8. Genre Selection: Choose one of the available genres. Each DJ can perform only one set or slot during the event.
  9. Duplicate Rolls: If you roll the same number twice, you’re allowed to roll again. No DJ should mix the same song twice. Roll the same number three times? Enjoy a free beer at the bar!
  10. Song Skip: If a song doesn’t fit your set, you’re allowed one skip. Just type PASS in the chat and roll for a new track.
  11. Focus on Mixing: The event is all about showcasing your mixing skills, so avoid using DJ drops or extended intros in your set.
  12. Good Vibes Only: MIOBI nights are about the music and the people. All DJs celebrate together as one big family — cheer each other on, leave personal drama at the door, and enjoy the party.
